Nagaland Governor Visits Kohima Senior Home

Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the Good Samaritan Senior Citizen’s Home in Meriema, Kohima, on August 12. He arrived to check on the residents and donate essential supplies. The visit pushed for better care and companionship for the state's elderly population.

The event started with a welcome speech from Juliana, an executive member of the Good Samaritan Women Society. Naga Club President Kuolachalie Seyie followed with an invocation. Residents at the home performed a special musical number for the visitors.

Good Samaritan Women Society Chairperson Neithonuo Liegise briefed the Governor on the home's history. She laid out the group's future vision for the facility. The Governor acknowledged these plans and spoke directly with the residents. During his time at the home, he stressed the importance of a supportive environment, stating, "the welfare and dignity of senior citizens" remain a top priority.
