Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav called education the primary engine for India's growth. He spoke to teachers and students at the Byatikram Education Conclave 9.0 in Dimapur on Monday. The Governor wants schools to focus on creativity, skills, and values. He believes this is the only way to prepare youth for a world defined by artificial intelligence and fast change.
Yadav pointed to the National Education Policy 2020 as the main guide for this shift. He told the crowd that the country needs multidisciplinary learning to move forward. Education must stop being a hunt for jobs. Instead, it should help students build their own paths. He said, "Education should empower young people not only to seek employment but also to become creators of opportunities and contributors to society's progress."
The Northeast holds massive potential. Yadav sees the region as a future hub for the economy if it mixes local heritage with high-level research. He praised the teachers present as architects of the nation. The Governor also handed out awards to top students for their academic success. He thanked the Byatikram Group for organizing the event and pushing for better schooling across the region.
