Nagaland Congress Keeps Pressure On Over Exam Paper Leaks

Kohima: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee refuses to back down. On July 20, the party announced its nationwide Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign will run until students see real results. Party leaders met at Congress Bhavan in Kohima to demand an end to exam leaks and recruitment rot.

Khriedi Theunuo, the NPCC working president, ripped into the government for failing to protect the nation's schools. He promised to keep exposing these systemic failures. "The campaign will continue, and party workers will create awareness among the people of Nagaland on the issue. The Congress is determined to keep exposing the failures of the education and examination system until justice is delivered," Theunuo said.

C Apok Jamir, another NPCC working president, highlighted the human cost of this corruption. He noted that families often sell land or take massive loans to pay for schooling. When leaks ruin exams, those sacrifices vanish. Jamir pointed to data from Rahul Gandhi, claiming over 150 leaks occurred in the last decade. These events damaged the future of 7.5 crore students.

The current climate relies on cheating rather than merit. Jamir argued that this hits middle and lower-income families the hardest. The Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign started June 17 in Kota, Rajasthan. Rahul Gandhi launched the movement to demand transparency and accountability. The party now plans to use public outreach and mobilizations to force institutional reform across the country.
