Kohima: The Local Arrangement Committee (LAC) on Repatriation of Naga Ancestral Human Remains has scheduled a strategy session to address the return of ancestral remains from London. The meeting starts at 3:00 PM on September 29 at the Western Sümi Hoho Office in Chekiye Village, Dimapur.
Organizers want a full house. They have invited tribal leaders, including the President and officials from the Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD), to join other civil society representatives for the talks. Each organization must send a delegate alongside their leadership to guarantee complete representation.
Tokuho Suhoi Neho, President of Western Sümi Hoho, and NT Thamlong Phom, President of the Eastern Nagaland People's Union Dimapur, represent the LAC on this issue. Regarding the effort, they stated, "This initiative reflects a vital collective step toward honoring Naga ancestral heritage, cultural identity, and historical dignity through unified community action."
