Kohima: Leaders from the GPRN/NNC (AB) and NNC/FGN (Tokuho) met in Dimapur on August 28. The coordination meeting brought together kilonsers, tatars, army wings, and secretaries under the leadership of Francis Kikon. They want peace. Officials held sessions to discuss the ongoing peace process and persistent law and order headaches caused by specific errant members.
The factions unanimously adopted several resolutions. They agreed to cooperate on reconciliation efforts between all Naga Political Groups and provide logistic support to better understand current regional problems. The groups formally dismissed Inato Awomi, son of Akhevi Awomi from Nitozu village, for violating the national azha. Officials stated he was expelled for "enrolling in both groups and for misusing their names in extortion and other anti social activities."
Commanders intend to clamp down. They promised to sternly discipline any other cadres caught engaging in anti national or anti social behavior moving forward.
