MP Jamir Leads Review of Central Development Schemes in Peren

Kohima: Lok Sabha MP S. Supongmeren Jamir met with district officials in Peren on Friday to audit the progress of Centrally Sponsored Schemes. As the DISHA chairperson for Nagaland, Jamir pushed for better delivery of government programs through open discussion. He wants to clear the path for stalled projects.

Jamir stressed the need for cooperation during the meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall. He told the gathered officials the review was "not to criticise any department but to ensure the effective and judicious implementation of development projects." He asked for bias to be left at the door.

Officials from the veterinary, labor, and agriculture departments presented their progress reports during the session. Discussion quickly shifted to the persistent communication gaps and funding delays coming from the Central government. Jamir promised to take these specific complaints to Parliament and the relevant ministries if local fixes fail.

The committee examined departmental activities and debated potential solutions to speed up work on the ground. Village chairmen and district representatives provided feedback alongside the MP and Deputy Commissioner. The meeting finished with a vote of thanks after a full round of questions and answers.
