Mokokchung Yimkhiung Community Marks Metümnyo Festival

Kohima: The Yimkhiung Union Mokokchung held their annual Metümnyo Festival on Saturday at the YBCM Compound. The gathering brought the community together to showcase local traditions and strengthen social bonds.

Kiumukam Yimkhiung led a session on the meaning of the holiday. He highlighted the traditional and social importance of the event. Yimkhiung Union Mokokchung President Shahoto opened the day with a formal welcome address. Y Among Yimchunger and L. John Yimkhiung offered additional greetings to the attendees.

The cultural program featured a folk song performance from the Yimkhiung Students Union Mokokchung. Yimkhiung Perü Mokokchung followed with a traditional dance. Indigenous games rounded out the schedule, drawing high energy from the crowd. General Secretary Y Kiuji closed the event with a vote of thanks.
