Shillong: South West Garo Hills officials opened a dedicated helpline to help residents navigate the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll. Voters can dial 9362201989 for assistance. Staff will manage calls during standard office hours.

Assistant System Engineer Deramun Ch. Momin and Data Entry Operator Trailind D. Sangma will handle all inquiries. The District Election Officer wants accurate rolls. October 1, 2026, serves as the qualifying date for the current revision exercise.

Statewide progress remains steady. Chief Electoral Officer BDR Tiwari confirmed that officials handed out over 1.19 lakh forms on the first day of the house-to-house push. Booth Level Officers covered roughly five percent of the state's 2.3 million voters on June 30.

South West Garo Hills leads the charge. The district already reached over 20 percent of its local electorate. Tiwari stated, "Meghalaya’s electoral roll revision got off to a steady start." Officials encourage every eligible citizen to participate to keep records current.
