Meghalaya EMRS Opens Hiring for Teachers and Wardens

Shillong: Eklavya Model Residential School in West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, is hiring for various teaching and administrative roles for 2026. The school needs Trained Graduate Teachers and Hostel Wardens. Applicants must act fast. The deadline for submission is September 28, 2026.

Open TGT positions include English, Mathematics, Khasi, Science, Music, Librarian, and Physical Education Teacher. Qualified candidates will earn 33,000 rupees monthly. Hostel Warden roles for men and women pay 36,000 rupees each month. All applicants must be between 21 and 60 years old.

Educational requirements vary by role. TGT candidates need a four-year integrated degree from a recognized institution, a bachelor's honours degree, or a standard bachelor's degree with the requisite subject studied for three years. Music teachers need a music degree, while Librarians require a degree or diploma in Library Science. Physical Education teachers must hold a bachelor's degree in their field.

Hostel Warden candidates need a four-year integrated degree from an NCERT-recognized institution or a standard bachelor's degree. Interested parties must send their documents in the prescribed Annexure-1 format. The office stated, "Candidates may send their in the prescribed format (Annexure-1) to the office of the District School Education Officer, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai on or before 28th September, 2026."
