Imphal: Manipur Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam met with senior CRPF officers on Thursday to address the state's volatile security climate. The high-level talks involved CRPF Director General Gyanendra Pratap Singh and his top commanders. They gathered in Imphal just days after suspected militants killed two Assam Rifles personnel in the Ukhrul district.

The meeting aimed to sharpen coordination between local authorities and federal forces. Officials reviewed operational readiness and searched for ways to stop the recent string of violence. Konthoujam described the session as a "productive discussion" on the state of affairs.

The minister confirmed that the government and the CRPF are focused on restoring order. He praised the agency for its ongoing work to shield civilians and maintain stability. All parties have promised to push for a peaceful, secure Manipur despite the ongoing pressure from militant threats.
