Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh honored successful 2022 Manipur Public Service Commission candidates on July 15. The ceremony took place at Hotel Imolesh in Old Lambulane, Imphal, during the 14th Foundation Day of the Creative Circle Coaching Institute. The event drew retired officials including IAS officer R.K. Nimai Singh and IPS officer Thangjam Brojen, alongside Dr. B. Lalhari Sharma, faculty, parents, and students.

Singh championed the state's focus on fair hiring. He told the room he intentionally avoided contact with the MPSC Chairman until results were public to prevent external influence. He asked the successful recruits if they had any doubts regarding the recruitment process. The group gave a unanimous "No" in response.

The Chief Minister claimed merit drives public trust. He praised Creative Circle for mentoring students through the COVID-19 pandemic and the state's difficult law and order situation. The BJP-led government also launched the Chief Minister's Scholarship Scheme for Civil Services. This program allocates 2.8 crore rupees annually to provide full scholarships for the top 200 aspirants.

Retired IAS officer R.K. Nimai Singh addressed the recruits next. He warned the new officers to avoid corruption, drugs, and unethical behavior throughout their careers. He reminded the group that officers who understand local needs play a vital role in the state's development. Dignitaries handed out honors to the 2022 batch to mark their achievement.
