Guwahati: Singer Lucky Ali made a stop at Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur on October 11. He visited the final resting place of late Assam music legend Zubeen Garg. The site in Hatimura became a landmark after Garg died in September 2025. Development work at the memorial started in March 2026 after the Assam government set aside the land.
Ali arrived in the city to headline the second night of a local music festival at the Helipad Ground near Sarusajai Stadium. The two-day event ran on October 10 and 11. Rapper DIVINE took the lead on the opening night. Known for hits like O Sanam and Dooba Dooba, Ali remains one of India's most iconic singer-songwriters. He blends pop, folk, and acoustic styles to reach fans across generations.
The festival organizers gathered artistes from across the country to perform for the crowd. One attendee noted the impact of the visit on the local scene. Fans hope his presence keeps the legacy of the late icon alive during the celebrations. Ali remains a singular voice in the industry.
