Imphal: The Luangdimai Theological Forum (LTF) has issued a sharp condemnation regarding the killing of six Naga men on May 13, 2026. According to the forum, the victims were captured by a group including both civilians and armed Kuki militants before being killed. The organization described the incident as a brutal act of violence where the victims were dismembered beyond recognition.

The forum expressed deep frustration over the incident, noting that it followed the release of 14 Kuki detainees by the Naga community. The LTF viewed the killings as a betrayal of their earlier gesture of peace. The organization stated, “There can be no justification for such cold-blooded barbarism, and our hearts are heavy with grief and outrages.”

In its statement, the LTF offered condolences to the families of the deceased and pledged its support during their period of mourning. The group has called on authorities to launch an immediate and transparent investigation to identify and prosecute those responsible for the crime, warning that impunity only fuels further violence.

Beyond seeking legal accountability, the forum appealed for calm and urged religious and community leaders to prioritize reconciliation. The LTF emphasized a commitment to Christian principles of peace and love, stating that they hope to see compassion prevail over hatred as the region navigates this period of high tension.
