Langpangkong Students' Conference Marks 78 Years of Service

Kohima: The Langpangkong Students' Conference reached a milestone on June 22. It celebrated 78 years of service at its headquarters in Chuchuyimlang Town Hall. Founded on June 22, 1948, the group works to boost educational and social progress for youth across the range.

Marsanen Imsong, president of Ao Senden, attended the event as the guest of honour. The day centered on honoring both past leaders and current academic talent. Organizers paid tribute to the pioneers who established the conference decades ago.

The group handed out the Lt L Pangersowa Trust Award for Academic Excellence to recognize local talent. This year, the honor went to Imnayangla from Unger Village for her performance in the 2026 HSLC examination. She received a citation and cash for her success.

The conference used the event to focus on future goals. They emphasized their dedication to "nurturing responsible youth leadership, preserving the rich heritage of Langpangkong, and contributing to society through education, service and community engagement."
