Imphal: The Kuki-Zo Christian Forum handed a list of demands to Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Wednesday. They met during his visit to Kangpokpi. The forum wants justice for 14 Kuki-Zo victims killed in the ongoing ethnic violence.

These victims include three pastors and four church leaders. Among the dead are victims from a May 13, 2026, attack on vehicles carrying church officials. The group noted that over 350 churches have been destroyed since the fighting started in May 2023.

Kuki-Zo leaders want the state to end the economic blockade strangling their communities. This blockade cuts off food, fuel, and medical supplies. It hurts women, children, and the sick. The forum stated that "public discourse had focused more on the aftermath of recent killings than on the victims themselves and the broader pattern of violence affecting the Kuki-Zo community."

The KCF expects the Chief Minister to bring these issues before the state cabinet and the Union government. They want their ancestral lands protected and fair treatment restored. The group maintains that church leaders have consistently pushed for peace throughout the conflict.
