KSU Honors Meghalaya Students for IIT Success

Shillong: The Education Cell of the Khasi Students Union feted three Meghalaya students on Tuesday. These scholars secured admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology after clearing the JEE Advanced 2026 exam.

Richbhalang Kharshiing led the group. He landed All India Rank 15 in the Scheduled Tribe category. Kharshiing will now study Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. Success follows hard work.

Dasannaki Bareh Lyndem achieved All India Rank 281 in the ST category. He starts a Mathematics and Computing programme at IIT Indore. David Bajop Christopher Gatphoh took All India Rank 461 in the same category. He earned a spot in Electrical Engineering at IIT Indore.

The union expressed pride in these local achievers. They credited the students for bringing recognition to their families and the Khasi community. In a formal statement, the KSU noted, “We are delighted and proud to felicitate these students who have brought honour and recognition to their families, the state, and the Khasi community.” The group hopes these results push other local students to aim higher.
