Guwahati: The three-day Aronbarim Youth Convention finished on August 16 at the Sarsing Teron Langkung Habe Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Diphu. Hundreds of Karbi youths gathered to celebrate their heritage. Organizers built the event to push the younger generation to protect their customs and religious beliefs. They want these kids to carry the torch forward.
Big names attended the final session. Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member and MLA Tuliram Ronghang showed up to support the cause. Dr. Habbey Teron, Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, stood alongside several KAAC Executive Members and other local leaders. The atmosphere remained focused on traditional practices throughout the event. Officials emphasized the need for active youth engagement to keep these ancient customs alive.
The event concluded with a string of cultural and religious performances. Reflecting on the mission, organizers noted that the gathering served as a "significant religious and cultural gathering of the Karbi community." The assembly provided a stage for the community to look at their past while setting a path for their future.
