Agartala: Women in Kalyanpur RD Block are pushing for a self-reliant Tripura. The Narishakti Cluster brought together 221 self-help groups for an annual general meeting. They reviewed past successes and mapped out a future for local economic growth. The groups discussed ways to build sustainable livelihoods and expand access to credit.

Small-scale entrepreneurship is the goal. These groups help women generate income and support their families. Participants shared stories about how these initiatives have changed their lives. The session focused on turning individual skills into local economic power. Stronger families mean a stronger state economy.

Social worker Nitai Bal and Kalyanpur RD Block Chairman Soumen Gope attended the event alongside panchayat leaders and block officials. They focused on how these groups reshape social and economic standards. One participant captured the mood of the gathering by stating, "The stronger the women, the stronger the family, society, and economy."

The atmosphere remained high as members swapped ideas. They pledged to continue working toward financial and social independence. Officials noted that these groups do more than just manage money. They foster cultural identity and collective strength across the region.
