HITO Jaintia Hills leaders resign in mass exit

Shillong: HITO leaders in Jaintia Hills walked away from the organization this week. The mass resignation hit the group hard. Jaintia Hills unit president Burom Dkhar led the exodus, firing off a letter to the Central Body on June 30 to finalize the split.

The group offered no reason for the walkout. They just left. Joining Dkhar were assistant secretary Presmi Suting, sports secretary Fasterwell Phawa, and organizing secretary Eddy Jefferson Tang. Members from the Ksehrynshang Circle and the Lakaseiñ Unit also cut ties.

The departing group kept things professional despite the abrupt exit. They sent a parting note to the leadership, stating they hope "the organisation would continue to effectively serve the public."
