Guwahati Airport Moves International Flights to Terminal 2

Shillong: Guwahati's Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport moved its international operations to Terminal 2 this Thursday. It is a big change for the hub. The first flight out headed for Paro. The first arrival landed from Singapore.

Staff marked the move with a traditional Assamese welcome for incoming passengers. They handed out gamosas, planted saplings, and served drinks. Officials from the CISF, customs, immigration, and BCAS joined airline teams to watch the first planes move through the new gates.

Airport officials expect the shift to bring more global traffic to the region. Regarding the upgrade, an airport spokesperson said, "This milestone strengthens global connectivity while reaffirming our commitment to seamless operations and an enhanced passenger experience."
