Guwahati: Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati just kicked off Utsav Aarambh. It is the first time the facility has turned its Arrival Village into a cultural hub. The team wants to give passengers an immediate look at the traditions of the Northeast.

The event draws on the energy of Durga Puja. Live music acts perform daily alongside dancers and performers. Hungry travelers can grab traditional sweets or sample a variety of chaats from local vendors. Stalls also stock regional handicrafts for those looking to buy gifts.

Readers can browse the new book fair held on-site. The airport staff intends to keep the momentum going. Airport officials noted the program is a "festive initiative featuring cultural performances, local handicrafts, traditional food and a book fair." Future events are already in the works to expand the celebration beyond the current run.
