Former Nagaland Minister Appointed to CONCOR Board

Kohima: V Kashiho Sangtam is the new face at Container Corporation of India Limited. The former Nagaland cabinet minister secured a seat as a Non-Official Director on the company board. He joins the firm under an official order from the Ministry of Railways dated August 13, 2026. The job starts immediately.

The President of India tapped Sangtam for a three-year stint. His tenure remains subject to further orders. Sangtam brings a background in public administration and resource management to the role. He previously held the Soil and Water Conservation and Geology and Mining portfolios. He also served as Chairman of the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation. The firm handles containerized cargo across the country.

CONCOR operates under the Ministry of Railways. It manages a massive freight network. A press release noted that Sangtam brings "experience in public administration, natural resources, and state-level development to the CONCOR board." The move completes a broader shakeup of the company leadership.
