Dimapur Police Probe Student Leader Over Restaurant Vandalism

Kohima: Dimapur Police filed a formal complaint Thursday against a student leader. He faces charges for trashing a local restaurant and lounge. The wrecking spree happened on June 30.

A viral video shows the suspect smashing property inside the business. The owner finally stepped up. They filed an official complaint at the East Police Station on July 2.

Police now have an open investigation. Officers are digging into the details of the brawl. The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry is watching the situation closely. Kevin Yepthomi, convener of the DCCI Grievance Cell, said, "the DCCI would take appropriate action only after ascertaining the facts from both parties involved."
