Kohima: The Sunday School Department at Zeliangrong Baptist Church in Dimapur finished its 2026 Vacation Bible School on July 18. Kids spent five days at the church premises learning under the theme Rainforest Falls. The program ran from July 14 to July 18.

Youth Pastor Wilungbo Chawang opened the final day with an invocation. Pastor Dinggailung Panmei offered a special prayer. Aliangliu Newmai, a Sunday School Teacher, chaired the event while Superintendent R. James Gonmei delivered the exhortation. He told the youth to stay grounded. "Remain rooted in God’s Word and grow spiritually in their daily lives," he said.

The event centered on biblical growth and renewal. Children participated in songs, crafts, games, and daily Bible lessons. The organizers structured the week around five specific themes: Welcome Day, Friendship Day, Giving Day, Worship Day, and Traditional Day. Teens, schoolers, and preschoolers showcased their work through group presentations and memory verse recitations.

Officials handed out prizes to reward student participation. Assistant Pastor and VBS Director Chingkhiuwang Nka delivered the final vote of thanks. The music and choreography team led a closing singspiration before Sunday School Advisor Phenwibo Meriam gave the benediction. The department credited teachers, volunteers, kitchen staff, parents, and the VBS committee for the success of the week.
