Itanagar: Director General Border Roads Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan visited the Shi-Yomi and Siang Valley regions on September 2. He assessed ongoing work under Project Brahmank to tighten deadlines and improve regional infrastructure. Road crews face a brutal environment. The terrain is difficult, weather is adverse, and logistics are a constant grind.
Chief Engineer Pankaj Goyal gave a full breakdown of progress, maintenance, and the hurdles blocking faster construction. The DGBR toured the sites and met with officers and subordinate personnel. He demanded total focus on workmanship, safety, and strict project timelines.
He told the team, "The Border Roads Organisation is committed to strengthening and maintaining strategic infrastructure in border areas." The agency aims to finish tasks quickly while bolstering socio-economic ties to these remote spots. Project Brahmank staff promised to hit their targets without cutting corners on quality.
