Guwahati: The Director General Border Roads (DGBR) inspected Project Brahmank on September 2, 2026. He arrived to assess strategic road developments in the Siang Valley and Shi-Yomi regions of Arunachal Pradesh. Chief Engineer Pankaj Goyal delivered a briefing on the current status of the construction, road improvements, and ongoing maintenance.
Goyal presented a detailed status report. He highlighted project progress, ground-level hurdles, and the strategies being used to hit completion deadlines. The DGBR reviewed the pace and quality of the labor while speaking with officers and subordinate staff.
The region presents constant trouble. Difficult terrain, wild weather, and logistical nightmares plague the workforce daily. The DGBR gave specific guidance to project leadership on how to move faster and spend resources better. He noted, "The DGBR appreciated the dedication of BRO personnel working in challenging conditions to develop critical infrastructure in the border areas."
The Border Roads Organisation confirmed it will keep pushing to link these remote border areas. Better roads mean more than just military reach. Officials expect the work to boost local socio-economic growth and accessibility for residents. Project Brahmank crews pledged to finish their tasks on schedule while holding to high safety and workmanship standards.
