Bongaigaon Police Seize Heroin Stashed in Bamboo Structure

Guwahati: Bongaigaon police seized 12.07 grams of suspected heroin during a raid in the No. 2 Bhandara area. Officers from the Manikpur Police Station and Gerukabari Police Outpost acted on a tip to locate the stash. The drugs were found hidden in 10 containers tucked inside a bamboo structure.

This structure sat directly behind the home of the late Harun Ali. Heart Goswami, officer-in-charge of the Gerukabari Police Outpost, led the team. The police took the contraband into custody. Officials are now tracking the origin of the drugs. A police spokesperson stated, "An investigation has been launched to ascertain the source of the contraband and establish the circumstances surrounding its possession."

Authorities expect more updates as the case moves forward. The investigation remains open.
