Agartala: Baibhav Roy grabbed national attention this week. The Belonia resident crushed the NEET-UG 2026 exam with a 99.9914 percentile score. He locked in an All India Rank of 166. Roy is now the top-ranked student in Tripura. He lives at Rajib Corner in Belonia.
His winning streak did not stop there. Roy also took the first spot in the PCB stream for the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination. South Tripura District Magistrate officials handed him a Certificate of Appreciation to honor the feat. A crowd of local educators and community members watched the ceremony.
Roy is now a model for local pupils. Educationists claim his rise shows the strength of Tripura students in national tests. Supporters say his success "has not only brought honor to his family and hometown but has also placed South Tripura on the national academic map."
Schools in the area look to build on this momentum. They hope to improve academic support systems soon. Roy plans to start a career in medicine. He has the grades to pick his path now.
