Guwahati: Basistha police officers in Guwahati busted two men for theft. Authorities arrested Abdur Rahim in Behebar and Anshuman Basumatary in Amtola. The pair allegedly targeted various spots across the city. Officers hauled in 100 kilograms of stolen aluminium wire during the raid.

The haul did not stop at metal. Cops found 40 Dextrose injections stamped for the National Health Mission. These supplies should have stayed in the medical system. Now, investigators want to know how the suspects got their hands on them. Police are currently working to establish the source of these goods and confirm if a larger theft network exists.

Officials are digging into the accused men's pasts to see how many jobs they pulled. "Further investigation is underway to ascertain the extent of the accused persons' alleged involvement in theft cases reported in Guwahati and identify other members, if any, of the suspected network," a spokesperson stated. The seized materials remain in custody as the case moves forward.
