Guwahati: Assam Police arrested a 22-year-old man in Hatigaon. Officers from the local station took Saiful Islam into custody following a formal complaint. He faces serious charges involving a minor. The suspect resides in Golakganj.
Authorities registered Case No. 239/2026 against the man. The charges fall under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. Police claim the suspect committed sexual offenses against a minor and circulated objectionable content online. They are moving forward with legal proceedings.
