Guwahati: Assam Minister Atul Bora blasted advocate Prashant Bhushan on October 16. Speaking in Golaghat, Bora dismissed suggestions that the Indian government faces a genuine threat. He claimed political losers are simply lashing out after consecutive ballot box defeats.

Bora insisted citizens remain firmly behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He praised the public for their sharp political awareness. The minister argued that recent attempts to destabilize the nation stem from desperation rather than actual public sentiment.

Bora challenged the critics directly. "After a series of failures in electoral politics, they have lost faith and confidence, which is why they are trying to destabilise the Indian government. But the people of India have full faith in Modiji and are very politically conscious. I don't think anyone will be able to destabilise the country," he said. The minister did not specify which particular comments from Bhushan triggered his sharp retort.
