Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) set the calendar for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2027 examination. Online registration starts October 12 and closes November 10, 2026. Students must use the official portal to secure their spots. They must use the same credentials as their Class IX registration.
Lost your login? Contact your regional Member Secretary. Students are tied to their original schools. You cannot switch institutions unless you have a formal registration transfer. The board demands attendance for eligibility. "Candidates who did not appear in the Class IX Unit Tests and Half-Yearly Examination will not be eligible to appear for the HSLC Examination 2027."
Fees are set at Rs 700 for the exam, Rs 150 for practicals, and Rs 350 for the centre fee. Schools owe an annual recognition fee of Rs 1,000. Low-income families can apply for fee waivers. If your parents earn Rs 4 lakh or less annually, talk to your school head. This covers students registered in Class IX during 2024 and 2025.
Deadlines are firm. Pay fees or generate challans by November 12. Deposit funds at the State Bank of India by November 16. The final day for corrections is November 19. The board will not accept subject changes after this date. Schools start inputting Internal Assessment marks on December 14, 2026.
