Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma opens the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund workshop in Guwahati on July 25. The event takes place at the Jyoti-Bishnu Antarjatik Kala Mandir. It brings agriculture stakeholders together to push for better rural investment across the state.
Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Pijush Hazarika checked the site on July 24. He confirmed he reviewed preparations to ensure the program runs without a hitch. Hazarika highlighted how the fund moves past basic planting.
"The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund is creating opportunities beyond cultivation by improving storage facilities, promoting value addition and strengthening market access for farmers," Hazarika said. The scheme aims to build better storage, add value to crops, and sharpen market access for Assam farmers.
