Itanagar: The Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) signed agreements with seven organizations on Monday, September 28. The mission aims to boost job prospects for rural youth through the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0. Work starts now. The scheme provides industry-relevant training to help locals land stable, wage-based employment.
The seven partners include Assam Professional Academy, Nitya Foundation, Skills2Skills LLP, Spurthi Rural Development Society, Sundyne Solar Solution Private Limited, Nurture Employability & Economic Development Society (NEEDS), and SHEEP Society. These firms must follow strict guidelines and keep training standards high. Success requires constant monitoring.
ArSRLM Chief Executive Officer and State Mission Director Sangeeta Yirang said, "skill development was crucial to empowering young people in rural areas and helping them access stable employment opportunities." She also pushed for institutional accountability from all stakeholders involved. The ArSRLM serves as the nodal agency for this central Ministry of Rural Development initiative.
Chief Operating Officer Ruzing Bellai noted that the program’s long-term impact hinges on quality instruction and support for candidates after they secure jobs. The updated DDU-GKY 2.0 framework prioritizes sustainable placements over simple course completion. The mission expects real, measurable employment results.
