Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul ordered officials to push welfare services into the state's remote corners. She spoke Thursday at the State Poshan Award 2026 and review meeting held at the D K Convention Centre in Itanagar. The minister demanded greater dedication from frontline workers to carry out government plans for women and children.

The Women and Child Development Department held the event as part of a Chintan Shivir. They reviewed Mission Vatsalya, Mission Shakti, Saksham Anganwadi, and POSHAN 2.0. Commissioner Mimum Tayeng called for better coordination to improve service delivery. Technical sessions covered maternity benefits, nutrition, and support for women facing violence.

Sunamoni Kar of the National e-Governance Division trained staff on the Poshan Tracker application. This tech handles geotagging of Anganwadi Centres, beneficiary verification, and tracking child developmental milestones. "She asked officials to work with greater dedication to implement the government's vision for the welfare of women and children." Deputy Director Machi Gao pressed for regular field visits to sharpen supervision.

Kina Takka, Bahi Koyu, and Gyati Loder detailed mechanisms for child protection and schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. The department honored staff from ICDS projects in Dirang, Mukto-Bongkhar, Kitpi, Aalo-West, Jang-Thingbu, Bomdila, Roing, Lumla-Zemithang, Namsai, Bordumsa-Diyun, and Lekang. The two-day session wrapped up with a call for stronger accountability. Director Chadan Tangjang closed the event.
