Kohima: The Ao Baptist Church Association wrapped up a three-day Sunday School teachers conference on September 27, 2026. Held at Impur, the event drew 933 delegates from 123 churches. Attendees gathered for worship, fellowship, and reflection. The program centered on the theme Taküm Sempet Arangshiba, meaning Developing Life Skills, based on Philippians 1:9.
Leaders aimed to equip instructors to mentor children and young people. Main speakers included ABAM executive secretary Rev. Temsü Jamir, Eastern Theological College professor Dr. Lipoknenla Ozüküm, ABAM education secretary Rev. Dr. Moanungsang, and MTBA Christian Education Ministry director Narosenla. Bideno Kikon, secretary of Christian Education for the NBCC, also attended to offer support.
Interactive sessions provided practical training. Facilitators included DABA Christian Education Ministry director R. Asenla Jamir, Clark Theological College assistant professor Dr. Moalila, and Dr. Lipoknenla Ozüküm. These sessions allowed teachers to share insights and refine their methods.
The event highlighted the commitment of local congregations to youth ministry. The conference concluded with participants heading home to their respective churches with a refreshed sense of duty. Organizers emphasized the event's core purpose: "reaffirmed the importance of investing in the spiritual formation of the younger generation and strengthening those entrusted with their Christian education."
