Kohima: The Zuketsa Area Public Organisation mobilized across its jurisdiction on July 18. Every affiliated unit participated in Sanitation Day by clearing waste and scrubbing village perimeters. The group launched this initiative to force a focus on local hygiene.

ZAPO president Kedoutsolhi Wetsah praised the widespread response from the units. He noted that these efforts are designed to prevent disease and beautify the region. Regular cleanups remove trash and boost public health. Wetsah stated, "Regular sanitation drives help improve public health, prevent the spread of diseases, remove accumulated waste, enhance the quality of life, support economic development and contribute to the overall cleanliness, dignity and safety of communities."

The work aims to drive economic progress while maintaining local dignity. Residents cleared debris to keep their streets safe. The project marks a push for a cleaner future.
