Tripura Police Investigate Health Officer Exam Leak

Agartala: Tripura Police are investigating claims of a question paper leak during the recruitment drive for 126 Community Health Officer positions. The National Health Mission oversees these roles. Ruma Deb filed a formal complaint at the NCC police station in West Tripura on August 31. She claims the test paper hit the streets a full day before the February 1 exam.

Suspicion grew over lopsided results. Some applicants scored 97 and 98 marks despite the test featuring negative marking. NCC Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das confirmed the probe. Investigators are tracking claims that aspirants held the questions 24 hours before the test began. "We came to know that some job aspirants had received the questions just 24 hours before the written examination," Das said.

Police recorded Deb's statement and started digging into the exam logistics. Detectives visited the Indranagar office of the Society for Entrepreneurship Development, or SoFED. This registered society runs written and oral tests for various government agencies. Officers are now dissecting the entire examination process to see how far the breach goes.
