Agartala: Tripura BJP president and MLA Abhishek Debroy kicked off preparations for the 2028 Assembly elections this Wednesday. He arrived in the Sonamura sub-division of the Sepahijala (South) organisational district to rally local workers. The state chief demanded total discipline and selfless service from his team.
Debroy spoke for over 30 minutes to leaders and Karyakartas. He identified five core principles guiding the party. He warned officials not to force citizens to visit offices repeatedly for simple tasks. "Money and the influence of power are not everything," Debroy stated while cautioning members against using the party name for personal profit.
He demanded respect for all workers, specifically noting that women must be treated with honor. Debroy reminded the crowd that government and party positions are not permanent. He told representatives to stop venting about grievances in public places like tea stalls or streets. Instead, he ordered staff to use formal channels for all complaints.
Sepahijala (South) district president Prasenjit Ghosh backed the call for victory in the Sonamura constituency. Debroy started his day by laying floral tributes at the statues of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He told the gathered members to coordinate closely with the administration to maintain the party hold on power.
