Search underway for Jaintia man missing in Karnataka

Shillong: A 23-year-old man from West Jaintia Hills is missing. Kwis Sumer disappeared while traveling in Karnataka. His mother filed an FIR at the Muktapur Police Patrol Post on July 15. The search is on.

Sumer left home on July 10. He planned to meet fellow villager Sanu Lamare for work. He spoke to his family after arriving in Bengaluru. He was last seen at 10 pm on July 13. He was riding a train from Bengaluru to Hubballi. His phone rang for a while, but no one picked up. Now, the line is dead.

The Muktapur police alerted authorities in Karnataka. They want immediate help to track him down. The Khasi Students’ Union Bengaluru Unit is also pushing for information. The union stated, "Anyone with information about Kwis Sumer is requested to contact his family at 9233932279, the KSU Bengaluru Unit at 7005095667, or the Muktapur police station."

Sumer stands 5 feet 5 inches tall. He weighs 60 kg and has a brown complexion. He has short black hair, black eyes, a pointed nose, and a long face. He wore a black T-shirt and black trousers when he vanished. He speaks War Jaintia, Bengali, and Hindi.
