Agartala: Purvaudaya reopened the Heart of Humanity outlet in Radhanagar, Agartala, this past Monday. The NGO brought the site back after months of restructuring. It paused operations earlier due to management issues that left locals worried about a permanent closure. Now, the project is back to serving the public.
Social worker Niti Sharma founded Purvaudaya. The organization runs this facility as a strictly anonymous, free philanthropic platform. The site relies on a no questions asked model. Residents can leave surplus food or household items on clothes shelves and in 24-hour community refrigerators. People in need pick up these goods with dignity.
The initiative draws inspiration from the legacies of Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur and Maharani Kanchan Prabha Devi. Organizers stated the mission is simple: "donate with love, share with kindness, and support a better tomorrow." The site pushes the slogan: "Let kindness always be in fashion."
This effort focuses on sustainability and community support across Tripura. Purvaudaya wants to boost local participation in these acts of giving. They view this location as a vital lifeline for those struggling nearby.
