Shillong: The All Selected Personnel Forum (ASPF) is leaning on Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui to break a hiring standoff at Rajabala Higher Secondary School. The group wants the school to stop stalling and install their chosen candidate as the new chowkidar.
Sahil S. Sangma secured the job through standard channels. He holds an appointment order dated June 12, 2026, which technically pulls the plug on the current temporary hire, Sujan Ali. Despite the paperwork, the school vice principal refuses to let Sangma start work.
Bernita Marak, General Secretary of the ASPF, says the school is ignoring official directives. "It has come to our attention that Sahil S. Sangma, a resident of Rajabala, was selected for this position in accordance with all established procedures and has received an appointment order," Marak wrote to the minister.
Marak claims the Special Interim Managing Committee followed every rule to fill the spot after the previous board was dissolved. The ASPF now expects the minister to step in immediately to clear the path for Sangma and protect the reputation of the recruitment process.
