Guwahati: Police arrested four people for running an ATM theft ring in Sivasagar. The bust went down near Simaluguri Junction Road. Officers from Dimow and Simaluguri stations teamed up for the raid. The crew allegedly swiped ATM cards from unsuspecting victims to drain their bank accounts. They picked their targets across multiple locations.

Law enforcement tracked the group from Dimow before cornering them in Simaluguri. The haul included one woman among the four suspects. They remain in custody for interrogation. Investigators are currently checking how many accounts the gang hit and where else they operated. Officials noted that the gang was "allegedly involved in ATM card theft and financial fraud."

The probe is active. Police are still hunting for evidence, including the stolen cards and the total cash taken. No dollar figure for the fraud is public yet. Investigators expect more facts as they continue the questioning.
