Shillong: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief over the death of Alpana N. Marak. She was the mother of Tura MDC and BJP leader Bernard N. Marak. The Prime Minister sent a formal condolence letter dated June 25 to the grieving family.
Modi highlighted the impact of the loss in his correspondence. He noted the deep sorrow that follows the death of a parent. "The news of the passing away of your mother, Alpana N. Marak Ji, has left me with a deep sense of grief and sadness," the Prime Minister wrote.
The letter reflected on the mother's character. Modi stated she would live on through memories and the gratitude of those who knew her. He offered his sympathies to the family. He also prayed they find the strength to handle this painful time.
