Kohima: Phek Government College opened its annual La Fete 2026 festival on October 13. The event takes place at Deo Nukhu Hall and runs until October 16. Phek Superintendent of Police Manish Bhartiya served as the special guest for the inauguration.

Bhartiya pushed students to embrace every chance to perform and grow. He shared how his own past participation in school events built his character. He told the crowd, "Talents differ; All is Well and Wisely Put."

Dr. Shurhonuo Tsurho, the convenor of Literary, Cultural and Performing Arts, delivered the welcome address. She spoke on the importance of the event theme to faculty and students. The morning agenda included an oath-taking ceremony and a display of group flag designs. Students then faced off in war cry and folk song contests.

The afternoon session expanded into a wide range of activities. Participants competed in poetry, extempore speeches, and art. They also played traditional outdoor games. The talent showcase moved into fashion, storytelling, and solo music performances. The choir competition wrapped up the day with students singing tracks by ABBA.
