Niropen Women Mark 25 Years with Focus on Integrity

Kohima: Members of the Niropen Yankho Eloe Ekhüng gathered at the Industrial Training Institute in Wokha on July 25 to mark the organization's silver jubilee. The event, held under the theme Lead in Truth, honored 25 years of community service since the group formed in 2001. It was a day for reflection. Ward-15 Wokha Town Councillor Hapenthung Ezung served as the special guest and officially released the 25th Silver Jubilee Souvenir.

Ezung pushed the attendees to maintain high standards. He stated, "truth and integrity should remain the foundation of leadership and community service." He urged the women to serve with sincerity and humility while fostering unity to drive local development and inspire the next generation. Keynote speaker and Lotha Eloe Hoho President Thungbeni Ngullie echoed these sentiments, noting that truth is often bitter, yet it remains the bedrock of trust and strong families.

Ngullie also addressed the need for women to gain financial literacy. She argued that understanding savings, investments, and planning is essential. Financially empowered women build better families. She further called on the community to reject social ills and live with accountability. The day started with a silent prayer for departed members followed by an invocation from Orensali Humtsoe. Zuchano C Ezung welcomed the guests while Renchumi E Ezung detailed the group's history. Greetings were shared by N Samuel Ezung, and Stephen Nyanthung Ezung led a prayer for blessings. Z Teresa Ezung closed the event with a vote of thanks.
