Kohima: The North East Zone Cultural Centre, working under the Ministry of Culture, is now taking applications for fresh empanelment and renewals. The effort covers its eight member states. The agency expects to finish the entire selection process by September 2026.
Officials need help. They want performers, folk and tribal groups, artisans, and traditional game players. Ethnic cuisine experts should also step forward. All current members must reapply to keep their status active.
Age limits apply here. Performing artistes must generally be between 18 and 35 years old. Musicians and accompanists get a longer window, with the center considering candidates up to 55 years of age depending on the specific art form. According to a DIPR report, "performing artistes should generally be between 18 and 35 years, while musicians and accompanists may be considered up to 55 years, depending on the nature of the art form."
Successful applicants will join the roster for future NEZCC events. Find the forms and full details online at nezccindia.org.in/Home/Advertisement.
