Shillong: The North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE) in Shillong, Meghalaya, has announced a recruitment drive for 18 non-teaching vacancies for 2026. The institute is seeking qualified professionals for various roles, including seven Junior Project Fellow positions, three Computer Typists, an Engineer Grade II, and multiple creative and technical staff members.
Interested individuals must hold specific qualifications tailored to each role. For example, candidates for the Engineer Grade II post require a degree in Engineering and three years of relevant experience, while those applying for the Computer Typist position need to have passed their 12th grade and possess a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi or Urdu.
The selection process involves walk-in interviews taking place at the NERIE campus in Umiam, Ri-Bhoi District. Applicants are expected to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on June 16, June 17, or June 18, 2026. The official notice states: "The originals documents to be brought mandatorily for verification, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview."
Candidates must present a completed application form in the prescribed format, accompanied by self-attested copies of their testimonials, experience certificates, and a recent passport-sized photograph. The institute requires all original documents for verification at the time of the interview.
