Shillong: Shankar Pandey holds a new doctorate. The Department of Law at NEHU awarded him his PhD following the completion of his thesis. He focused his research on the Protection of Contract Labour in Organised Sector in India With Special Reference to Meghalaya: A Study.
Dr. N. Kumar supervised the project. Pandey is a local Shillong resident and the son of Kamala Devi and the late Harilal Pandey. He officially earned the degree for his work, which he described as a "Protection of Contract Labour in Organised Sector in India With Special Reference to Meghalaya: A Study."
