Kohima: Nagaland is ready for the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign. The state Home Department finalized plans during a July 30 meeting led by Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha. The event runs from August 9 through August 17. Departments including Police, Art and Culture, and Education will spearhead the activities.
The Nagaland Police will drive the Tiranga Rally. This procession includes students, youth groups, and government workers. Participants must follow the Flag Code strictly. The Art and Culture Department will set up digital exhibitions at busy spots like bus terminals and public squares.
Officials planned for cycle and e-bike rallies across districts and villages. These events involve the Commissioner and the Rural Development Department. Local government buildings, bridges, and markets will get a Tiranga-themed makeover. Schools and colleges will feature patriotic art and displays of famous sayings. As the Ministry stated, they encourage citizens to "upload a Selfie with Tiranga" on the official portal.
Logistics are already in motion. The state ordered 1.6 lakh National Flags, each sized at 30 by 20 inches. These will arrive at a hub in Dimapur. The Deputy Commissioner will oversee the supply. Police Headquarters will handle transport to district offices. Staff must track every flag issued. Any leftovers go back to the Home Department. Deputy Commissioners, Municipal Administrators, and Block Development Officers will ensure things run smooth on the ground.
